The SOLDABLOC mortar drying process occurs in contact with air. After 15 minutes the drying process is already such that prevent nesting. Thus, it is suggested that to open a row within a time of 10 to 15 minutes to put the blocks.

The SOLDABLOC mortar joint is not 1.0 cm as we see with conventional mortar. Is this a problem?

The horizontal joint formed by SOLDABLOC mortar between the blocks is thin, but ensures no contact between the blocks. This joint varies between 3 and 5 mm and ensures that the structure works without generating cracks in the future. The chemical characteristic of SOLDABLOC mortar ensure a less brittle behavior than conventional mortar.

Is it necessary to have a vertical joint for application of SOLDABLOC mortar?

Masonry can be constructed using dry joints (without mortar) up to 3 mm, i.e., filling the vertical joint keeping a distance of only 3 mm for accommodation and variations dimensional and thermal is not necessary. It is recommended the application of vertical joint especially in the first and last row and the in blocks together to pillars.

After applying the SOLDABLOC mortar, can I remove the blocks to adjust any mistake?

By removing an already seated block it is necessary to clean and reapply the 2 mortar cords.

How fast is the construction with SOLDABLOC?

The SOLDABLOC mortar application speed is about 4x higher than the conventinal method and it is recommended to wait 10 to 15 minutes for every 1.5m of wall height. In the meantime another wall could be erected without loss of productivity.
